First about your family loss. My condolences to you on the passing of you pet. I know it tears the heart when something as dear as a lifelong pet passes away. Just remember all the great times you both had and carry on with your work.

Second, I was pleasantly surprised to see you at one of the 1-ps meetings. This organization is getting quite big with almost forty neighborhoods. It’s not a true cross section of this whole city but its better than nothing at all. May be someday it will include all parts.

    Keep up the good work.

    Hi Mark,

Thanks very much for the kind words of condolence. As for the 1-PS meeting, I was quite impressed by the scope of work being done as documented by the various committee reports. I hadn’t been to the meetings for a number of years, but will put them on my calendar to check in again whenever time permits.

    Best regards,

    Bond

    Good day Bond.

We are having the 1-PS meeting this Thursday. I would like to take a few moments of your time after the meeting if you have the time. If you are not heading to the meeting maybe we can sit down somewhere over a cup of coffee in the next few days or so.

We are have our monthly meeting for the Desert Highlands/Gateway area tonight at 7PM at the James O Jessie center. Robert Moon should be attending along with prior mayor Ron Oden. Might be interesting???

Last week I questioned the City Manager about the x-ing of the Biker Weekend. I asked why the city would cancel this and then turn around and allow the Hilton to host one of the most notorious biker gangs this last weekend. The president of P.S. Resorts had told the city that they were not supporting the annual event. This was the same person that runs the Hilton hotel. How do you say you are not going to support something then turn around and have the same basic event at your hotel?

The part that really upsets me is that the City Manager told all of us at the ONE-PS monthly meeting that this is a privately funded security event and the city would not be involved. Today the local TV news reported that not ony was the City of Palm Springs Police very involved but there were also other police involved IE… Cathedral City, County Sherriff and CHP. They also stated that the hotel would not be responsible for the police in attendance meaning the city will get stuck for the bill. Who’s in charge here???
